Competition
We are running our first competition in the Carlow Co-op Writers' Group!
You will have the chance to be published in our anthology this year and read at our launch. You will also get to meet us, have a photo with the group and share a glass of fizzy pop or wine in the Teach Dolmen! The winning entry will be included in the Carlow Writers Co-Operative Anthology to be launched in mid 2013. The winner will also be invited to give a reading of the winning entry at the launch.
Rites of Passage in Life
The theme is on rites of passage in life. Applicants need to submit a short story, memoir or poem based on a rite of passage such as birth, marriage, death or other significant event in their life. Applicants are free to be creative with the theme and interpretation. Short stories no longer than 1200 words and poems no longer than 40 lines.
Closing Date: 15th March 2013
Email entries marked “Carlow Writers Competition” to [email protected] or post to John Shortall, Carlow Library HQ.
The members of Carlow Co-op(even those who have only came to 1 meeting!) cannot enter, sorry, guys!
Best of luck and get writing!
